Job summary

Patterson-UTI is seeking a Shop Technician to assemble and test electronic components, restock MWD kits, and perform electronic roll tests on MWD survey instruments. The role includes routine shop cleaning, inventory control, and participation in trainings and meetings.

Under the supervision of the Shop Manager, you will operate lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and generators, follow safety policies, and work in a shop environment exposed to outdoor weather with PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Clear written and verbal communication, able to follow directions promptly.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and supervision levels simultaneously.
• Strong teamwork and ability to interact with coworkers and third parties.
• Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InfoPath, Access, OneNote, SolidWorks.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and operate lab/shop equipment.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and navigate outdoor/shop environments safely.
• Must wear PPE and follow safety policies at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test electronic components and test MWD systems.
• Clean and restock shop and field kits; manage inventory.
