Job summary

Patterson-UTI is seeking a Shop Technician – DHT in our Wisconsin shop to support the build, repair, and maintenance of downhole tool products. You will assemble tools per procedures, perform repairs, maintain a clean and organized work area, and ensure proper documentation in accordance with quality management systems.

You will operate shop equipment, handle materials, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet timelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and pass forklift operator test.
• Experience in assembling/repairing mechanical/downhole tools follows procedures.
• Strong documentation and safety practices are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and repair mechanical/downhole tools according to procedures.
• Operate shop equipment including breakout and lifting gear.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet timelines.
• Demonstrate flexibility and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced shop.
