Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Athens, TN seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to service and repair automation equipment, including conveyors and robotic welders. You’ll troubleshoot PLC hardware, wiring, and HMIs, and ensure safety compliance across the plant.

Qualifications

  • Experience with HMIs and PLCs is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Service and repair industrial automation equipment, including conveyors and weld cells.
  • Troubleshoot PLC hardware, wiring, and programs; interface via HMI.
  • Conduct machine safety audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Track work orders and spare parts in ERP; keep records current.
  • Coordinate maintenance plans with production control and quality to maximize output.

If you love troubleshooting complex automation and preventing unplanned downtime, this role is for you.ShiftsSunday - Thursday 6:00pm - 2:30am or Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pmWhy you’ll love this workHands-on impact with conveyors, robotic weld cells, PLCs, HMIs, and servo systems.Ownership of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.Cross-functional collaboration with production control, tool room, and quality.Problem-solving through data—production, quality, and maintenance reports.What you’ll doService and repair industrial automation equipment, including conveyor systems and robotic welders.Troubleshoot PLC hardware, wiring, and programs; interface via HMI.Conduct machine safety audits and ensure regulatory compliance.Track work orders and spare parts in ERP; keep records current.Use electronic, electrical, and mechanical test instruments to verify performance.Synchronize maintenance plans with production control, tool room, and quality to maximize output and resource utilization.Review operational, maintenance, and quality reports to isolate root causes of downtime.Detect abnormal sounds or behavior, engage supervisors and teammates, and resolve variances quickly.Recommend and implement machine and equipment improvements to boost product quality and throughput.Coordinate purchase orders for tools, parts, and equipment with Tool Crib Attendants and the Maintenance Planner.Follow all plant safety rules and policies at every step.Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and report out results.Maintain 5S standards and a tidy, hazard-free area.Comply with organizational policies and actively address safety hazards.Participate in Production meetings and 5Why/RCA problem-solving sessions.Operate forklifts and similar equipment as needed.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
