Job summary

Siemens in Wendell, NC is seeking an Electro‑Mechanical Quality Test Technician for the Protection and Automation Panel Assembly Workshop (PA PAWS) team on 1st shift. Shift hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with an hourly rate of $25.00.

As part of the role, you will perform final electro‑mechanical inspections, conduct nondestructive tests per specifications, and prepare quality reports while collaborating with Engineering and technician teams to ensure UL508 compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• 1+ year of experience testing, inspecting, and troubleshooting electrical equipment.
• Ability to perform thorough final inspections with precision.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Lift parts or sub-assemblies up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform final electro-mechanical inspections to ensure panels meet quality standards.
• Conduct nondestructive tests, troubleshoot failures, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain inspection and quality reports; collaborate with Engineering and technician teams.
• Serve as Manufacturing Technical Representative (MTR) for UL508 compliance (training provided).
• Follow Environmental and Health & Safety policies and pursue continuous improvement.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.
