Job summary

Hiller Measurements in the Dripping Springs/Austin area is seeking a Quality Inspector - Electrical & Mechanical responsible for visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of cable and harness assemblies, enclosures, and related components, ensuring conformance to IPC standards and Hiller Measurements criteria.

You will read engineering drawings, operate precision inspection tools, document results, and collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with technical drawings and engineering documents.
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 and/or IPC-A-610 certification preferred.
• US citizen or legal permanent resident due to ITAR contracts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect cable/harness assemblies and enclosures per IPC and company criteria.
• Use calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and borescopes for inspections.
• Verify conformity to drawings, ICDs, BOMs, specs, and work instructions.
• Document inspection results and report nonconformances.
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to support production.
• Maintain inspection tools and ensure measurement accuracy.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality to resolve issues.
• Follow quality procedures and safety requirements.
