Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a detail-oriented production assembler to join our team in the United States. You will build and test electronic and mechanical assemblies, following diagrams and using hand and power tools to create reliable modules and subassemblies.

Expect a fast-paced environment with opportunities to contribute to important defense programs. The role requires lifting up to 35 lbs, occasional extended hours, and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required; minimum 6 years of experience in production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Able to perform a two-person lift in accordance with MIL-STD-1472.
• Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and have strong communication skills.
• Candidate must be willing to work extended hours occasionally to meet deadlines.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
• Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
• Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.
• May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
• May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
