Northrop Grumman is seeking an Assembler 1 to support production and manufacturing operations at our Central Virginia facilities. You will perform a range of assembly tasks on electronic and mechanical components, using diagrams and tools, with opportunities to advance and earn overtime.

Your background should include a high school diploma or GED, the ability to lift up to 30 lbs, and a willingness to obtain certifications. Northrop Grumman offers robust benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and move objects up to 30 lbs.
• Preferred: experience in electro-mechanical manufacturing, including wire harness.
• Preferred: IPC 610/620 Workmanship Certification.
• Preferred: J-STD-001 Certification.

Responsabilités

• Perform a variety of assembly tasks on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
• Follow diagrams, make initial layouts, and use hand/power tools, jigs, and saws.
• Conduct continuity checks on in-process and completed work.
• May perform quality inspections according to specifications.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test prototype assemblies under simulated conditions.
• Use soldering irons and maintain workmanship certifications.
• Willing to work overtime.

We are looking for you to join our team as an Assembler 1 to support production and manufacturing operations at our Central Virginia manufacturing facilities.

What You'll Get to Do:

• Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
• Work from diagrams and drawings, make initial layouts, and use hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
• Make continuity checks on work in process and completed.
• May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
• May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
• Use hand and/or power tools, including soldering irons.
• Obtain/maintain workmanship certifications.
• Willing to work overtime.

A successful candidate will possess great communication and interpersonal abilities, excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, manual dexterity, the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve, learn quickly, work well independently and as part of a team.

Basic Qualifications for an Assembler 1:

• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to lift and move objects, up to 30lbs, from one location to another.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Work experience in electro-mechanical manufacturing, including wire harness.
• IPC 610/620 Workmanship Certification.
• J-STD-001 Certification.

Primary Level Salary Range: $31,500.00 - $52,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
