Job summary

Schreiber Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Wisconsin to perform emergency repairs, set up machinery for production runs, and conduct preventive maintenance on packaging and production equipment.

The role requires strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, the ability to work with CMMS and other data systems, and capability to operate forklifts. High school diploma or GED plus technical experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma/GED.
• Two-year technical degree or 5+ years onElectrical-Mechanical technician role.
• Experience troubleshooting basic electrical systems including 24VDC, 480VAC, sensors, motor controls, VFDs.
• Able to obtain Forklift/Scissor lift license.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
• Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
• Performs maintenance including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
• Conducts preventative maintenance service.
• Disassembles problem equipment and determines extent of repairs.
• Rebuilds complicated machine tools and plant equipment.
• Reads and interprets manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Operates forklifts.
• Performs necessary facility maintenance.
• Inputs data in CMMS and other software platforms.
• Communicates with managers and leaders, maintaining open communication.
• Performs other duties within the department as assigned.
