Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician

This position reports to: Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities
  • Electrical: Troubleshooting control problems, reading electrical prints, understanding PLCs and their programs, troubleshooting VFD controls and motors, installing conduit and pulling wire.
  • Mechanical: Reading mechanical drawings and assembly prints, gearbox and mechanical drive repairs, mechanical punch press repair, conveyor repairs, brake and clutch replacements.
  • Hydraulic: Reading hydraulic prints, troubleshooting hydraulic issues, component identification and replacement.
  • Pneumatics: Reading schematics, understanding system operations, troubleshooting.
  • General Maintenance: Welding, fabrication, painting, building maintenance, plumbing, heating, air conditioning (limited), preventative maintenance, and other tasks as directed.
Qualifications for the role
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; trade school or college classes preferred.
  • Preferably 8 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment as a Maintenance Mechanic.
  • Industrial Electrician with blue print reading skills, PLC and electronics knowledge strongly desired.
  • Ability to read and understand written and verbal directions, interpret measuring devices, and possess good shop math and mechanical skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot various types of machinery and equipment efficiently.
  • Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Welding skills, proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
  • Must have work authorization to work in the US for ABB.
