Role and Responsibilities
- Work the day shift, 6am – 2:30pm, Monday-Friday.
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of all downed machines in Stack Manufacturing.
- Perform machine installations or modifications as instructed.
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Review spares inventory and inform the spares team when spare parts are used.
- Evaluate equipment, create maintenance procedures and error logs.
- Suggest improvements to the tool set.
- Implement engineering upgrades to machines.
- Support equipment testing group.
- Ensure proper LOTO compliance.
- Lift up to 50 lbs, maneuver into tight spaces or on the ground as needed.
- Stand, crouch, kneel, bend over or perform other extended‑position tasks for repairs.
- Stand or walk for extended periods in a large manufacturing facility.
- Use PC and programs such as Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, CMMS software.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Well‑rounded in mechanical systems: pneumatics, vacuum systems, motor alignment, hoists, etc.
- Well‑rounded in electrical (up to 480 VAC) systems: VFDs, motor/encoder systems, high‑temperature systems (highly valued).
- Experience with high‑temperature systems up to 1200°C, PLC & automation.
- Welding experience (MIG, TIG & arc) a plus.
- Precision measurement and adjustment skills, including laser measurements, and experience with rolling hearth kilns (RHKs).
- Experience repairing machinery in a high‑volume manufacturing atmosphere.
- Superior communication skills (written, verbal, active listening).
- Intermediate skills with MS Word, Excel; PowerPoint proficiency a plus.
- Highly motivated self‑starter, capable of self‑management with minimal oversight.
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish effective cross‑functional relationships.
- Ability to effectively participate on multidisciplinary teams.
Salary and Location
Location: Fremont, CA. Salary ranges: $35.98 – $51.76.
