Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Deer Park, NY seeks a Maintenance Helper to support our corrugated packaging facility. You will inspect, test, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems to keep the line running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years electro-mechanic experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, tests, repairs, and maintains electrical and mechanical systems safely.
• Support operation of a fast-paced packaging facility.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment including conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Reduce downtime through scheduled PM maintenance.
• Design and install equipment improvements for quality, safety or production.
• Adjust and calibrate equipment.
