Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical and electrical automation equipment, including motor control circuits, drives, and PLC systems. Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in assigned areas, developing Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans to minimize downtime. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, monitor equipment performance, and ensure adherence to SOPs, safety, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical and electrical automation equipment.
• Develop and implement PM plans as SME.
• Perform maintenance tasks in accordance with work orders in CMMS.
• Monitor equipment during production start-up, changeovers, and installations.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMPs, USDA, OSHA, and company policies.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• High school diploma or GED; trade certifications preferred.
• Proficiency in English, mechanical and electrical skills, PLC experience a plus.
• Familiarity with CMMS and SAP is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work in varied environments, including overtime, holidays, and rotating shifts.

Skills

• Ability to interpret schematics and blueprints.
• Expertise in electrical repairs, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and PLC logic.
• Knowledge of TPM and Lean principles.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks required by the role.

Physical Demands & Environment

Frequent use of hands, occasional sitting, climbing, and lifting. Work involves moderate to loud noise levels, exposure to mechanical parts, airborne particles, and temperature extremes. Use of PPE is required.
