Job summary

ABB in St. Louis, MO is seeking an electro-mechanical maintenance technician to keep manufacturing equipment running safely and efficiently.

This onsite role reports to the Engineering Manager and offers the opportunity to contribute to a world‑scale, safety‑driven operation. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; read schematics and PLC logic; and perform preventive maintenance, calibration, welding, and basic facility work.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, PLC logic, mechanical drawings, and hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams.
• Proficiency with electrical wiring, motor controls, sensors, actuators, VFDs, conveyors, gearboxes, and mechanical drives.

Responsibilities

• Perform electro-mechanical maintenance activities safely and in compliance with ABB safety standards and procedures.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
• Sustain the physical demands of the role, including performing essential maintenance duties throughout scheduled shifts.
• Promptly communicate any limitations affecting the ability to perform essential job functions and collaborate on reasonable accommodation solutions when needed.
