Job summary

Mars is seeking a Shift Maintenance Technician to join a rotating team responsible for keeping production equipment and facilities in safe, productive condition. You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, perform maintenance, and support new installations while maintaining food safety and reliability standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Associate degree in a technical-related discipline preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in a technical-related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of plant flow, operation, and utilities.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative/predictive maintenance on production equipment, building and utilities.
• Coordinate work with others, contractors, and self to complete repairs.
• Prioritize repairs and ensure permanent solutions within 14 days where possible.
• Lead technical troubleshooting of process, mechanical and electrical issues.
• Train shift associates on setup, change-over, and equipment operation.
• Troubleshoot using HMIs and PLC logic.
• Maintain accurate work orders and logs.
• Support ongoing training and plant reliability improvements.
• Address food safety and quality concerns.
