Job summary

Tessera is seeking a Specialist Equipment Mechanic who applies basic technical knowledge to perform tasks such as analyze malfunctions, repair, rebuild and maintain generators, air compressors, facility cranes, roll-up doors or other electro-mechanical equipment as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have a valid state driver’s license, the ability to obtain security clearances, and experience with preventive maintenance and customer communications.

Qualifications

• 3 years facilities maintenance experience with commercial generators and controls.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Performs monthly preventive maintenance and repairs on IC engines, diesel generators, and associated equipment.
• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on automatic transfer switches (ATS) and annunciator panels.
• Tests batteries, fuel coolant and oil.
• Communicates with customer and scheduler regarding repairs and timelines.
• Ensures work meets quality control standards.
