Job summary

Tessera is seeking an Electrician Maintenance (Generator Mechanic) in Junction City, KS for full-time day shifts. The role involves preventive maintenance on IC engines and diesel generators, ATS panels, and system diagnostics. You will diagnose issues, perform tests, and coordinate with customers to plan repairs.

Qualified candidates have at least 3 years in electrical systems, can read schematics, and are able to work independently and in teams. A flexible benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Three years of electrical systems and controls experience required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• NFPA 70E certification preferred.
• Arc Flash and ATS Training preferred.
• Cat Electric Power I or II training preferred.
• Direct experience with commercial generators and controls required.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly preventive maintenance and repairs on IC engines and diesel generators.
• Maintain automatic transfer switches (ATS) and annunciator panels; repair switch gear, transformers and circuit breakers.
• Conduct tests of power outages to verify generator function (annual).
• Inspect, operate, and test industrial equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
• Plan work using diagrams, drawings, manuals and schematics.
• Keep maintenance records and cost of work.
• Test batteries, coolant, and oil; transport and dispose hazardous materials.
• Communicate with customers on repairs and needs; ensure quality standards.
