Job summary
Phoenix Tailings in Burlington, MA seeks an Engineering Technician to support design, assembly, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. You will ensure machine functionality, mentor junior technicians, and collaborate with engineers to optimize systems and processes.
The ideal candidate has hands-on electro-mechanical experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read drawings and schematics.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certificate preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in engineering support, machine assembly, or equipment installation.
- Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems and ability to read drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Responsibilities
- Oversee assembly and installation of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems on new equipment.
- Work closely with engineers to ensure equipment meets design specifications and performance standards.
- Lead assembly of machinery components based on drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Conduct rigorous testing of newly assembled machines and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliability.
- Modify and optimize equipment to meet operational requirements and improve performance.
- Lead and mentor junior technicians in troubleshooting and skills development.
