Job summary

ATZ Manufacturing in Minnesota is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, test, and improve electro-mechanical products and systems. This role partners with internal teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective, and manufacturable solutions while supporting existing products and production needs.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical or electrical engineering background, 5+ years in engineering, and proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks), industry standards, and manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or a related field.
• 5+ years in an applicable engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools (SolidWorks).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical and electrical components, assemblies, and systems.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including schematics and diagrams.
• Develop testing process and conduct detailed analysis and testing of new designs.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical issues.
• Support manufacturing with production, assembly, and design-related issues.
• Evaluate and improve the efficiency and reliability of existing products.
• Assist with new product development and engineering changes.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and regulatory standards.
• Assist with writing standard operating procedures to ascertain the best sequence of operations or workflow, testing, calibrating, and adjusting equipment to maximize efficiency of production.
• Work with suppliers and internal departments for component selection and procurement
• Provide technical support and guidance to other engineering teams
• Maintain accurate engineering records and follow company quality and document-control procedures.
• Manage project timelines and milestones effectively.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
