Job summary

Genesis Packaging Technologies, a division of RV Industries, seeks an Electro/Mechanical Design Engineer to review electrical controls and mechanical designs, ensuring compliance with specs and standards. You will develop PLC programs, maintain lifecycle docs, and support cross-functional teams in a safety-sensitive environment.

The role requires experience with AutoCAD/SolidWorks, P&ID, and PLC hardware selection, plus willingness to travel globally.

Qualifications

BS degree in Mechanical Engineering is required or equivalent.
Experience following design standards and managing changes.
Willingness to travel globally when necessary.

Responsibilities

Responsible for PO review, specification review and all pertinent technical documentation to build, assemble and test equipment.
Select electrical controls hardware to meet job or customer specifications.
Design, develop, and maintain PLC based control system programs.
Create and maintain life cycle documentation for PLC control system (URS, FRS, SDS, Validation Protocols, FAT, IQ/OQ, Manuals).
Ensure quality of control systems relative to project specs, FRS, and codes/standards.
Support maintenance of electrical/mechanical drawings and related documentation.
Lead engineering change evaluations, define scope, and verify results of changes.
