Job summary

Actalent in Los Angeles is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Design Drafter to develop and maintain detailed drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation for complex electromechanical products. You will work at the intersection of electrical and mechanical design, producing 3D models, assembly drawings, and supporting documentation for production and development teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in SolidWorks for creating detailed assemblies, models, and drawing packages.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for development and revision of electrical and electronic drawings, schematics, and documentation.
• Solid knowledge of engineering documentation practices, including revision control and configuration management.
• Experience generating manufacturing documentation, BOMs, source control drawings, and production records.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications for complex electro-mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain engineering and manufacturing drawings from design concepts and direction.
• Create and manage manufacturing work instructions and process documentation.
• Generate and revise Bills of Materials (BOMs) and related technical records.
• Prepare complete design packages for electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical assemblies with 3D models.
• Produce drawing packages including assembly/subassembly drawings, schematics, and product documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, customers and partners to resolve issues.
• Identify and correct drawing discrepancies and documentation concerns throughout the product lifecycle.
• Ensure designs comply with customer specs, quality requirements, and industry standards.
