Job summary

Ericson Manufacturing Company in Willoughby, OH, seeks an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to build electrical and mechanical systems, wire subassemblies, and perform inspections per NEC standards. The role requires 2+ years of related assembly experience, ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings, and hands-on use of tools and testing equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2+ years of related assembly experience.
• Ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical blueprints, production/assembly instructions, parts lists, and verbal notes to assemble, wire, and install a wide variety of components.
• Apply prior experience and sound assembly practices to follow detailed written or verbal instructions.
• Comfort working with limited supervision on moderately complex builds.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical and mechanical systems by installing components, subassemblies, and wiring in accordance with NEC standards.
• Troubleshoot and correct defects by adjusting, repairing, or replacing electrical component parts to meet specifications.
• Inspect and test wiring installations and finished assemblies to verify product conformance.
• Read and interpret schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports to determine materials and assembly steps.
• Record labor time and quantities in the ERP system accurately.
• Operate assembly equipment safely and consistently.
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation daily.

You review the day’s work orders, pull prints and schematics, and prioritize tasks with your lead. You build and wire electro-mechanical assemblies to NEC standards, verify conformance through inspections and tests, and log production data in our ERP system.
