sstjobs in Torrance, CA is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to build mechanical and electromechanical assemblies for modular reactor systems. You will work with hand and power tools to fit, fasten, and integrate components, with hands-on variety as no two assemblies are alike.

This role offers room to grow into lead technician or specialized mechanical roles, a Monday–Friday 8 am–5 pm shift, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on mechanical assembly experience.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Experience with hand and power tools including torque wrenches.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Comfort in a fast-paced startup manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electromechanical components using hand and power tools.
• Read and follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and bills of materials.
• Fit, fasten, align, and torque components to specification; verify fit-up and functionality.
• Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues and escalate as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace; follow 5S and safety standards.
• Support a wide range of build types across product lines as priorities shift.
• Document completed work, inspection results, and any non-conformances per quality procedures.
