Job summary

Tecan Austria GmbH in Baldwin Park, CA is seeking an Assembly Technician II to build, test, and service electro-mechanical instruments. You will perform hands-on assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and customer support to ensure instrument quality and reliability.

The role requires traveling to customer sites for installations and service, with a strong emphasis on quality checks and adherence to ESD and PPE protocols. Strong English communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of electro-mechanical assembly experience.
• Basic electronics knowledge from coursework or hands-on experience.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and manuals.
• Willingness to travel locally and across the country for customer visits.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test electro-mechanical instruments and subassemblies.
• Follow SOPs for assembly, disassembly, cleaning, packaging, and repairs.
• Solder components and wire assemblies as needed.
• Perform visual inspections and quality checks on components and instruments.
• Troubleshoot, clean, maintain, and repair instruments.
• Package products for shipment and maintain records.
• Travel to customer sites for installation and service as needed.
• Provide onsite instrument training and document service reports.
• Maintain accurate production and service documentation.
