Job summary

Hitachi America, Ltd. in Pleasanton, CA, is seeking a skilled Assembler/Technician to assemble sub-assemblies of electronic components and final products.

The role requires reading schematics, performing wiring, hand soldering, and cable harnessing with accuracy and efficiency, and working both independently and as part of a team. You will use hand and power tools, test equipment, and follow CAD drawings and procedures, while maintaining safety and quality standards, meeting production

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in a related field preferred.
• At least 3–5 years of electrical assembly or electrical technician experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Strong ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Able to use hand and power tools and maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble sub-assemblies of electronic components and final products.
• Perform wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing.
• Mount components on chassis panels and perform on-line testing to meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot, rework and inspect assemblies; follow CAD drawings and work instructions.
• Interface with Engineering and Production teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
