Aerotek is seeking an Assembler to join a small, high-mix manufacturing environment in Victor, NY. The role involves hands-on soldering, cable and harness assembly, and PCB work, following detailed technical documentation.

You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to support mission-critical production, ensuring quality and repeatability while handling assemblies up to 30 lbs. This permanent position offers a daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• Hands-on soldering in electronics manufacturing.
• Soldering and IPC/J-STD experience on the production floor.
• Able to pass in-house solder evaluation during interview.
• Experience building cables, wire harnesses, and PCB assemblies.
• Electromechanical assembly background; 5–10+ years preferred.
• Able to read assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and schematics.
• Color vision required; work within documented processes and inspection requirements.
• Experience in regulated environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts and sub-assemblies using hand tools and semi-automated equipment; perform basic soldering and use go/no-go gauges.
• Follow work instructions and technical docs; verify conformance and document results.
• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues; escalate as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to improve processes and procedures.
• Maintain high workmanship and quality while lifting assemblies up to 30 lbs.
