Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Mechanical Assembler in Sorrento Valley to perform mechanical and wire harness assembly, firmware installation, and functional testing of electro-mechanical subassemblies. You will document steps in MES, use 42Q for instructions, and ensure products meet strict quality standards.

The role requires hands-on experience with hand tools and testing equipment, strong attention to detail, and clear communication with the team to support on-time production goals.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling electro-mechanical subassemblies, modules, or devices.
• Hands-on wiring, harnessing, and electrical connections.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting devices with a structured process.
• Ability to use hand and small power tools proficiently.
• Proficiency with computer-based work instructions and MES entries.
• Good communication and teamwork in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electro-mechanical subassemblies, modules, and PCBAs per MES work instructions.
• Open work instructions in 42Q, track tasks, and document progress in the MES.
• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly, including wiring and harnessing.
• Install firmware on PCBAs and verify successful programming.
• Conduct functional testing, run scripts, and record results.
• Troubleshoot failures and perform corrections to meet quality standards.
• Follow build plans precisely and collaborate with technicians and team members.
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings to align on priorities.
