Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; ability to pass capabilities evaluation.
• 3–12 months of Mechanical Assembler experience desired.
• Wire routing experience using IPC 620 standards is required.
• Experience building electro/mechanical assemblies to workmanship standards.
• Knowledge of By Light Port Orange build processes and standards.
• Willingness to learn crimping, soldering, and read/interpret drawings.
• Must pass IPC 620 certification within the first 6 months.
• IPC 620 certification already obtained is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply mechanical knowledge to perform routine tasks.
• Operate power and hand tools in Electro/Mechanical environment.
• Complete sub and higher-level assemblies from drawings/work instructions.
• Solder and crimp small gauge wire as part of assembly.
• Use test equipment to validate product quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot electro and mechanical failure modes.
• Participate in continuous improvement events and Lean reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
