Job summary

Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace, Inc. seeks an Electrical/Mechanical Assembler I for our Johnstown, PA facility.

You will perform electro-mechanical assembly for Remote Weapon Stations and related product lines, using precision tools and following detailed build instructions. The role requires maintaining IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC J-STD-001 certifications, and you’ll work with Proflow, Enovia, and RMS systems while contributing to on-time production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in production assembly preferred.
• J-STD-001 soldering certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC J-STD-001 certifications.
• Perform electromechanical assembly using basic tools and specialized tooling.
• Maintain tooling and ensure calibration cycles are current.
• Order materials via Material Request Application or IPS/Vending Machines.
• Use Proflow for timekeeping and production documentation in Enovia.
• Report progress and discrepancies to lead or manager.
• Operate within budgeted hours and meet efficiency goals.
