Job summary

Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation in Hauppauge, NY is seeking an assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will build high voltage power supply units by following drawings, BOMs and ECNs, assembling chassis, racks and top assemblies, and using sheet metal, polycarbonate materials and common shop tools.

The ideal candidate has 3 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience, excellent soldering skills, and the ability to read schematics and engineering documents.

Qualifications

• 3 years minimum experience in electro-mechanical assembly.
• Experience in power electronics is highly desirable.
• Excellent soldering skills; IPC 610 or J-Standard certifications are a strong plus.
• Ability to read component symbols and technical drawings/engineering documents.

Responsibilities

• Wire, solder, fabricate and assemble high voltage power supply units.
• Assemble racks, chassis and top assemblies.
• Follow schematics, blueprints and BOMs to build subassemblies and PCBs.
• Perform rework as necessary and assist others as required.
• Fill out paperwork such as configuration control travelers.
