Job summary

Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation is seeking an assembler to join our manufacturing team in Hauppauge, NY. You will assemble chassis, racks, and high voltage power supply units, following drawings and BOMs to meet strict quality standards.

You will read schematics and engineering docs, perform rework when needed, and use various hand tools and equipment. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required; competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years in assembly of electro-mechanical devices.
Experience in Power Electronics is highly desirable.
IPC 610 Solder Certification or J-Standard a strong plus.
Able to read component symbols and engineering documents.
Proficient with basic hand tools, torque tools, and hand crimp tools.

Responsibilities

Wire, solder, fabricate and assemble High Voltage Power Supply units.
Assemble racks, chassis, and top assemblies.
Use schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, BOMs and ECNs to build boards.
Perform rework as necessary.
Fabricate vector board circuits and enclosures from sketches.
Work with sheet metal and polycarbonate using common tools.
Follow supervisor directions and assist other assemblers as needed.
Complete configuration control paperwork as required.
