Job summary

The DAVIS Companies is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler in Franklin, MA. The role focuses on building electrical control panels, wiring, and assembling subcomponents to spec in a hands-on manufacturing setting.

You will read schematics, blueprints, and work orders, performing point-to-point wiring and installing PLCs, relays, lights, and switches. The position requires lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for extended periods, with a typical M-F 7am-3:30pm shift in a contract-to-hire

Qualifications

Minimum of a High School Education; Technical Certificate in Electrical Controls is desired.
2+ years of experience in control panel building, wiring, and reading schematics and electrical diagrams.
Ability to lift up to 30lbs and stand for long periods of time.
Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Wire and build electrical control panels, junction boxes, and subassemblies per customer requirements.
Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and bills of material.
Drill or tap holes to mount control units or provide openings for components, wiring, or instruments.
Utilize a variety of small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
Complete point-to-point wiring and install a wide variety of electronic components including PLCs, relays, lights, and switches.
