Job summary

Teledyne ETM in Newark, CA is seeking an Electro‑Mechanical Assembler to construct high‑energy x‑ray products used in cargo and vehicle inspections for the global security market. You will assemble electronic systems and sub‑systems following detailed instructions, while collaborating with engineers, technicians and production staff.

The ideal candidate can work with hand and power tools, lift up to 50 pounds, and adapt to evolving schedules in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow manufacturing instructions and learn new processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Clear spoken and written communication in English.
• Experience with mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components and sub-assemblies following drawings and work instructions.
• Wire harnesses, hoses, and wiring, routing and securing bundles.
• Install plumbing components and hoses as required by assemblies.
• Follow engineering procedures, manufacturing instructions and quality requirements.
• Use hand and power tools safely to build and test assemblies.
• Collaborate with teammates to meet production goals and timelines.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and quality and support Lean initiatives.
