Job summary

Hologic, located in Marlboro, MA, seeks an Electro-Mechanical Assembler (11849) to dismantle, adjust, rework, repair and assemble equipment per drawings and procedures, while upholding quality and safety standards and supporting Lean manufacturing initiatives.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent (and an Associate’s Degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent is preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience; electro-mechanical experience is preferred.

  • Collaborate in a team and support production schedules.
  • Identify root causes of moderately complex assembly issues.

What to Expect

Under general supervision, you will dismantle, adjust, rework, repair, and assemble equipment according to assembly drawings, schematics, and procedures, with a general understanding of compliance requirements. You will be responsible for maintaining quality and safety standards, as well as supporting Lean manufacturing initiatives.

The incumbent may be asked to perform additional function‑related activities beyond the responsibilities listed below, as reasonably required by business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and verify components; assemble subassemblies or final assemblies in a safe and timely manner per blueprints or technical documents
  • Solder wires and cable connections (if applicable)
  • Complete and maintain quality and assembly documentation as required
  • Comply with, participate in, and maintain 6S activities and follow‑ups
  • Maintain and/or participate in daily management boards (if applicable)
  • Conduct inventory transactions and ensure inventory accuracy
  • Initiate proper disposition of defective parts using the NCE process
  • Ensure daily completion of NCE process activities
  • Audit and validate current NPI procedures
  • Work in a controlled cleanroom environment (if applicable)
  • Collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Perform equipment maintenance as required
  • Understand and comply with all workplace safety rules and regulations
  • Participate in cross‑training to meet production schedule needs
  • Independently identify root causes of moderately complex assembly issues in a timely manner
  • Meet or exceed production, quality, safety, and efficiency standards
  • Support special projects as requested
  • Work overtime as needed to meet production schedules
What We Expect
Education

  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience; electro‑mechanical experience preferred
Compensation

The annualized base salary range for this role is $39,800 to 59,700. The position is bonus eligible. Final compensation will depend on factors including experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs, and market demand.
