Job summary

Metals USA – Gregor Technologies Division in Torrington, CT seeks an Electro-Mechanical Assembler for 1st shift. You will read blueprints, assemble parts, and run end-of-line tests using hand tools, wire cutters, crimpers, and machines, ensuring quality standards.

Required: 2-year technical degree and/or apprenticeship, 3–5 years in electro-mechanical assembly, ability to read drawings and measuring instruments, CAD/CAM familiarity, and valid OSHA forklift certification.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree and/or apprenticeship.
• 3–5 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings/blueprints.
• Ability to read measuring instruments (tape, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauges).
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM and basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to assemble product.
• Utilize hand tools and machines to assemble components.
• Perform end-of-line tests using computer-based equipment.
• Conduct spot checks to ensure quality standards.
