Job Description

Summary:

  • The Electro-Mechanical Assembler works in a one-piece flow cell performing bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and subassemblies, using hand tools. This role involves assembling ESD-sensitive delicate components and cables for specialized computers and displays.
  • Looking for someone with a positive attitude and team spirit.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Able to work with limited supervision in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and capability to build and possibly do limited testing on units on the manufacturing floor.
  • Technical capacity to understand parts, drawings, and bill of materials (BOM).

Responsibilities:

  • Function in a Lean manufacturing environment, adding value by reducing waste.
  • Assemble and test parts using drawings and bill of materials.
  • Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods, including crimping, is required.
  • Use of common hand and power tools, including specialized tools, may be required.
  • Follow documented procedures for fitting, adjusting, and ensuring proper functioning of parts.
  • Meet job completion and shipping deadlines.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the production supervisor.
