Description

• Reads and interprets engineering drawings, specifications, and machinery manuals.
• Installs, inspects, troubleshoots, and adjusts electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Familiarity with the NEC (National Electrical Codes) as they pertain to the facility.
• Performs preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Performs calibration procedures on various equipment.
• Troubleshoots electronic instrumentation problems (e.g., thermocouples, tachometers, temperature controllers, pressure transducers).
• Participates in safety programs, inspections, observations, and risk assessments.
• Repairs and troubleshoots machinery used in producing padded polystyrene trays, including thermoforming, padding, lamination, and extrusion equipment.
• Operates shop equipment, forklifts, and yard equipment safely.
• Maintains high standards of craftsmanship, professionalism, quality, efficiency, and material utilization.
• Conducts food safety and defense self-inspections, reporting deficiencies.
