Electro‑Hydraulic/Pneumatic Controls & Instrumentation EngineerJoin a team on a mission to redefine reliability in automotive remanufacturing. At Dynamic Manufacturing, Inc., your systems thinking will connect sensors to software and mechanics to motion—ensuring every assembly is tested, traced, and trusted. The ChallengeImagine you’re launching a new product line. You’ll scope level of effort, model costs, and coordinate a cross‑functional plan. On the floor, you’ll commission a multi‑panel tester, integrate a Cognex vision check, bring a Hi‑Pot interface online with data archiving, and validate safety circuits. You’ll tune motion profiles, wire a VFD, verify pneumatic and hydraulic controls, and leave behind crystal‑clear standards and maintenance docs for the team. All while mentoring an Associate Engineer and aligning with customers on performance goals.Impact You’ll MakeLead/participate in cost and level‑of‑effort studies for greenfield product lines and updates to existing families; help drive new line launches.Manage multiple initiatives across departments; interface with customers and travel to their sites as needed.Engineer, implement, and sustain systems such as:Air‑decay, displacement measurement, and pick‑to‑light solutionsNVH testers and multi‑panel stationsComponent testers for 2‑pin/3‑pin Hall‑effect sensors, bearings, and chainsHi‑Pot tester hardware/software interfaces with results display and storageVision Inspection Systems and barcode readersElectrical controls for hydraulic and pneumatic presses; electro‑hydraulic/pneumatic control and test standsDevelop motion and motor control strategies; specify and program PLCs/HMIs; design safety circuits; integrate servos, DC motors, three‑phase motors, and VFDs; select DAQ.Create architectures and standards for electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic designs; author preventive/predictive maintenance standards.Produce and revise drawings, PM documentation, and project artifacts; define electrical panel layouts.Coach junior engineers; provide data‑driven recommendations on repair, redesign, or rebuild.Collaborate daily with Product, Manufacturing, Quality, and Mechanical Design Engineers, plus Maintenance and Calibration Technicians.Your ToolkitDegree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.DAQ and controls: NI hardware, Measurement Computing; PLCs (AutomationDirect, Allen‑Bradley, Omron, etc.); Arduino; Raspberry Pi.Robotics and automation cell design, safety, EOAT selection, robot programming.Industrial machinery design and commissioning.Drafting: electrical (AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical/Visio), mechanical (Inventor), pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams.Fluency in hydraulic/pneumatic theory and component selection.PLC/HMI programming (Ladder Logic or similar); LabVIEW usage and system interfacing.Sensors and signal conditioning (Dataforth, Analog Devices); wiring, shielding, grounding, and noise reduction techniques.PCB layout familiarity; PC‑based GUIs/HMIs; data logging to Microsoft Access and SQL databases.Vision and ID: Cognex Vision Systems and barcode scanners; experience with Keyence and Banner ecosystems.Motor/drive systems: DC and three‑phase selection/control; VFD selection, wiring, control, and programming.Relay logic and safety relays/circuits; communications (Ethernet, Modbus).Maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and industrial assets; electrical panel layout/build.Analog transducers (pressure, torque); ability to decipher machine behavior with sparse documentation.Excellent communication; Lean/CI habits; disciplined project management and documentation; strong troubleshooting.Proficiencies We ValuePLC troubleshooting and developmentElectrical schematic literacy and creationVision system programmingPneumatics diagnosticsTools in PlayVariable Frequency Drives (VFDs)PLCs (Siemens and others)Vision SystemsHuman‑Machine Interfaces (HMIs)Thrive With UsEngaging, collaborative cultureAdvancement opportunities and mentorshipTuition reimbursementCompetitive compensation with weekly payComprehensive benefits and 401(k) matchGenerous PTO, plus moreOur StorySince 1955, when John Partipilo founded Dynamic Manufacturing, we’ve focused on powertrain excellence across automotive, off‑road, industrial, and racing markets. We produce torque converters; automatic, manual, and hybrid transmissions; and transfer case assemblies. From one retail location to almost a million square feet and 1,000+ employees, we serve both aftermarket and OE customers with turnkey capabilities—engineering through machining, assembly, and dynamometer testing.Equal OpportunityWe are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination/harassment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
