Job summary

Facility Solutions Group, Inc. is seeking Craft Electrical Instructors on a part-time basis in Lenexa, Kansas. Instructors will teach electrical courses and be involved in developing course syllabi. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in the electrical trade and teaching experience.

Classes may be scheduled during the day, evenings, or weekends, and instructors are responsible for evaluating student progress and maintaining professional relationships with students.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of documented Electrician's experience at the journeyman level.
• At least 1 year in a leadership/supervisory role.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a certified teacher in a relevant vocational program.

Responsibilities

• Teaches Electrical Worker courses at various times.
• Submits required reports and forms in a timely manner.
• Evaluates students to measure their progress.

Skills

Knowledge of all aspects of the Electrical Worker trade

Mastery of NCCER electrical course content

Skills in project leadership

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Familiarity with MS Office software

Knowledge of power and hand tools related to the craft

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Electrical Worker Journeyman credential or equivalent

NCCER Instructor certification or willingness to complete
