Job summary

Nexans Charleston unit is seeking a Product Engineer to drive manufacturing and testing of subsea and land projects within the SLS business group. You will serve as the technical authority from the plant, supporting project engineering and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include cost analysis, documenting specifications, and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. This role requires strong English communication and the ability to travel to Nexans facilities

Qualifications

BSc or MSc in Engineering from an accredited university.
Excellent written and verbal English communication.
Proficient with standards and document control.
Experience with CAD and 3D modeling software preferred.
Proficient in MS Office and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

Comply with safety, environment, and health standards.
Review technical documents for bids and manufacturing capabilities.
Calculate local manufacturing costs for subsea and land projects.
Prepare and maintain technical specifications for manufacturing.
Host pre-process and process-startup meetings and capture actions.
Support variance analysis, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement.
