Job summary

Adams Dearborn LLC is seeking an experienced Electro-Optics Design Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team. You will develop sophisticated electro-optical products and own designs from concept through integration, testing and production.

You will collaborate with Optical, Mechanical, Software, Firmware, and Electrical engineers and technicians to meet demanding customer requirements and project milestones. This role emphasizes hands-on development and end-to-end ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience or a graduate degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with microcontroller-based board design.
• Experience with embedded C programming and microcontroller debugging.

Responsibilities

• Develop circuit designs incorporating microcontrollers and embedded C.
• Design and support stepper motor control circuits.
• Lead bench-level system integration of hardware, software, and FPGA-based designs.

Duties:

• Developcircuitdesignsincorporatingmicrocontrollers,includingembeddedCprogramming,debugging,andintegration.
• Designandsupportsteppermotorcontrolcircuits.
• Leadbench-levelsystemintegrationinvolvinghardware,software,andFPGA-baseddesigns.
• Developdesignreviewpackages,includinganalysis,performancebudgets,andtestdatademonstratingcompliancewithfunctionalrequirements.
• Createtestplansandprocedurestovalidatecircuitperformanceandfunctionalrequirements.
• Supportprojectplanning,designreviews,productionreleases,andupdatestoproductdocumentation.
• Takeownershipofengineeringprojectsfromconceptthroughdesign,integration,test,andproduction.

Requirements:
