Job summary

Susquehanna International Group is seeking an Electricity Strategist Intern to join their Energy Research team. You will work with senior strategists and traders to enhance modeling of the U.S. power grid through effective data analysis.

The ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Interns enjoy a casual work atmosphere, housing, and various social and wellness perks.

Overview

Susquehanna’s energy and power trading is informed by a strong fundamental understanding of weather prediction as well as supply and demand characteristics. As an Electricity Strategist Intern on Susquehanna's Energy Research team, you will be partnered with our senior strategists and traders to identify information and datasets to improve Susquehanna’s modeling and understanding of the United States power grid.

What We're Looking For

• Intention to graduate with a bachelor’s or master’s degree within one year of the internship program in Electrical Engineering or a similar major
• Creative problem solving and intellectual curiosity about electricity markets and fundamentals
• Strong attention to detail; ability to complete data entry and mapping
• Knowledge of technologies related to specific technical domain (including but not limited to: Python, Pandas, MySQL)
• Must be a self-starter, a quick learner, an effective communicator, and resourceful in solving problems
