Job summary

ISC Constructors seeks positive, energetic Electricians to join our field team. You will fabricate and install conduit, wire and cable, and perform MCC and switchgear work on industrial facilities. Strong blueprint reading and NEC knowledge are required.

Requirements include a valid Texas Electrical License, NCCER cut score, post-offer drug screen, and 4+ years craft experience. We offer excellent wages and a full benefits package in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Able to fabricate and install conduit and wire/cable in industrial settings.
• Experience reading blueprints and understanding electrical drawings.
• Familiarity with MCC, switchgear, and electrical controls.
• Must hold a valid Texas Electrical License and pass NCCER assessment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install rigid, aluminum, EMT, and other conduit types.
• Install wire and cable in trays; perform terminations and testing.
• Perform MCC and switchgear work and troubleshoot energized motor controls.
• Size and install breakers, fuses, and related protective devices.
• Read blueprints and comply with NEC and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness on job sites.

Job description

The Position:

We are looking for positive, energetic Electricians with a wide variety of abilities to complement our experienced workforce. Applicants should have the ability to:

• Fabricate and install rigid, aluminum, E.M.T., plasti-bond and P.V.C. conduit
• Must have the ability to use mechanical and 2” – 4” hydraulic benders
• Must be able to fabricate and install conduit supports
• Must have the ability to install wire and cable by either hand or machine in cable trays
• Must perform MCC and switchgear work
• Must be able to perform troubleshooting on energized motor controls
• Can fabricate and install breakers and fuses, cable trays, batteries, battery charger, buss duct, junction boxes, tagging, term, motors, and transformers
• Can size thermal-overloads, breakers, and fuses
• Able to terminate motors, transformers, stress cones and cable splicing
• Understand the proper use of hydraulic tools
• Can read blueprints and national electric code requirements
• Knowledgeable in the use of electrical equipment testers including V.O.M., AMP meter and 1000-volt insulation tester
• Knowledgeable in communication and applicable electrical OSHA rules and regulations

Requirements:

• Valid Texas Electrical License: go to TDLR website for more information
• Ability to meet the cut score on the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Skill Assessment.
• Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug/alcohol test and applicable background checks.
• Minimum 4 years craft-specific experience.
