Job summary

ISC Constructors, LLC is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The candidate will fabricate and install conduit, MCC and switchgear, and troubleshoot energized motor controls.

A Texas Electrical License is required, with a minimum 4 years of craft-specific experience and NCCER assessment eligibility. Role involves reading blueprints, wiring in trays, and using hydraulic benders, VOMs, and insulation testers.

Qualifications

• Ability to meet the NCCER Skill Assessment cut score.
• Ability to pass post-offer drug/alcohol test and background checks.
• Minimum 4 years craft-specific experience.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install rigid, aluminum, EMT, plasti-bond and PVC conduit.
• Use mechanical and 2–4” hydraulic benders.
• Fabricate and install conduit supports.
• Install wire and cable in cable trays by hand or machine.
• Perform MCC and switchgear work.
• Troubleshoot energized motor controls.
• Fabricate and install breakers, fuses, cable trays, batteries, and related devices.
• Size thermal-overloads, breakers, and fuses.
• Terminate motors and transformers; splice cables as needed.
• Understand hydraulic tools and proper tool use.
• Read blueprints and NEC requirements.
• Use testing equipment (VOM, amp meter, 1000-volt tester).
• Know electrical OSHA rules and regulations.

The Position:

We are looking for positive, energetic Electricians with a wide variety of abilities to complement our experienced workforce. Applicants should have the ability to:

• Fabricate and install rigid, aluminum, E.M.T., plasti-bond and P.V.C. conduit
• Must have the ability to use mechanical and 2” – 4” hydraulic benders
• Must be able to fabricate and install conduit supports
• Must have the ability to install wire and cable by either hand or machine in cable trays
• Must perform MCC and switchgear work
• Must be able to perform troubleshooting on energized motor controls
• Can fabricate and install breakers and fuses, cable trays, batteries, battery charger, buss duct, junction boxes, tagging, term, motors, and transformers
• Can size thermal-overloads, breakers, and fuses
• Able to terminate motors, transformers, stress cones and cable splicing
• Understand the proper use of hydraulic tools
• Can read blueprints and national electric code requirements
• Knowledgeable in the use of electrical equipment testers including V.O.M., AMP meter and 1000-volt insulation tester
• Knowledgeable in communication and applicable electrical OSHA rules and regulations
