Job summary

Six Flags St. Louis is seeking an experienced industrial electrician to design, install, and maintain electrical control, sound reinforcement, lighting, and related systems across the park.

You will read and program Allen-Bradley PLCs, inspect rides and facilities, install 600V or lower distribution equipment, and repair electrical systems, while logging preventive maintenance in IBM Maximo. The role requires physical ability and a valid driver's license, with varied shifts and outdoor work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years industrial electrical/electronic experience.
• Ability to read and program Allen-Bradley PLCs via ladder logic in RSLogix/Studio 5000.
• Must possess the physical capacity to perform duties (standing, climbing, lifting 50 lbs).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Use PLC and Relay Logic knowledge to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical control systems.
• Inspect rides, facilities, and attractions; repair and notify leadership of issues endangering guests or staff.
• Install new electrical systems up to 600V; including VFDs, motors, compressors.
• Repair and maintain electrical systems, circuits, lighting, transformers.
• Keep a daily duty log and preventive maintenance records in IBM Maximo.
• Follow NEC guidelines for design, application, and compliance of electrical installations.
• Adhere to safety policies and wear required PPE.
• Complete projects and assignments as directed.

Job description

Design, build, install, and maintain all electrical control systems, all sound reinforcement systems, theatrical lighting systems, and industrial electrical systems throughout the park.

Specific Duties and Responsibilit ies :

• Utilize PLC and Relay Logic knowledge to install, maintain , and trouble shoot electrical control systems.
• Inspect rides, facilities, and attraction s, repair and notify leadership as to any issues that could endanger guests or employees .
• Install new electrical systems as assigned . 600V or less distribution, VFD’s, Motors, compressors etc.
• Repair and maintain a variety of electrical systems, circuits, lighting , transformers etc .
• Keep a daily duty log of maintenance work performed as well as accurate records of preventive maintenance utilizing IBM Maximo system .
• Follow guidelines of the national electrical code for design, application, interpretation, and compliance of all electrical apparatus and installation.
• Adhere to all department and company safety policies; wear appropriate safety equipment as required .
• Completion of projects and assignments as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Trade school certification in Industrial electric /electronics preferred.
• Ability to read and program Allen-Bradley PLC’s via ladder logic in RSLogix /Studio 5000.
• 3+ years related industrial electrical/electronic experience.
• Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the primary job duties, including able to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, kneel, squat, twist, push and pull and lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs .; must be able to reach overhead .
• Must be able to perform work functions at heights in excess of 150 ’.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays and must be able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
