Job summary

Six Flags Great America is seeking a qualified Electrician to repair and maintain electrical equipment, lighting, wiring and controls across rides and facilities. The role includes installing or modifying electrical systems and components, and reading schematics.

The ideal candidate holds a High School Diploma or GED with trade training, can work at heights, and has a valid driver's license. Flexibility for nights, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with a trade school certification or currently in a trade program.
• Willingness to troubleshoot electrical problems on rides and equipment, and to learn.
• Familiar with current electrical codes and safety standards.
• Must provide hand tools for daily use.

Responsibilities

• Repair, install and troubleshoot electrical wiring systems, controls, lighting fixtures, kitchen equipment, heating systems, power stations, vehicles and ride equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical apparatus.
• Install or modify electrical systems and components.
• Update drawings and schematic diagrams and assist in the selection of electrical components and material.
• Assist with Park Operation responsibilities as needed.
