Job summary

IMC Electrical is seeking a skilled Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems across residential, commercial, industrial, and Federal settings. You will read blueprints, diagnose issues, and ensure code compliance and safety on every job.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of experience in electrical installation or repair. A valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check are required.

Responsibilities

• Install wiring, outlets, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures per blueprints.

• Inspect and troubleshoot electrical systems for hazards and compliance.
• Maintain records of inspections and updates to blueprints.

Role Overview

Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, industrial and Federal settings. Ensures work complies with relevant codes and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical underground infrastructure, installing PVC, duct banks, manholes, and pulling wire
• Medium voltage experience, pulling wire, termination
• Install wiring, outlets, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures according to blueprints and technical diagrams
• Set up electrical systems for new construction or remodels, including panels, switches, and grounding systems
• Inspect electrical systems, components, and wiring for hazards, defects, or compliance with codes
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning electrical equipment or systems
• Replace outdated or faulty electrical components to meet current standards or client requirements
• Upgrade systems to support new appliances, increased power loads, or energy-efficient technologies
• Adhere to all electrical codes, regulations, and safety protocols
• Ensure proper grounding and electrical safety measures are in place
• Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and installations
• Prepare reports and update blueprints or technical diagrams as necessary

Required Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or repair; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Electrical underground, medium voltage, or irrigation experience preferred

Working Conditions

• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, often exposed to the natural elements of cold, heat, moisture, and wind
• Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding
• Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Other

• Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch break. All candidates must be able to pass a background check and drug screen, and obtain base access. Must have a valid driver's license
