Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) is seeking an Electrician Technician Intern for on-site training in Houston, TX. You will work alongside seasoned electricians to gain practical experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial electrical systems.

The program emphasizes safety, NEC standards, and building infrastructure integration, with opportunities to advance toward apprenticeship or certification in the electrical field.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed education in electrical technology, electrical engineering, or related technical field
• Strong problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitude
• Good mathematical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols
• Physical capability to work in ladders, confined spaces, etc.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Learn to properly use testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues
• Assist with inspecting, testing, and maintaining electrical distribution systems
• Help install and maintain building electrical systems including lighting and panels
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and documentation
• Document electrical work and materials used in facility management systems
• Support energy efficiency initiatives through LED retrofits and controls
