Job summary

JLL in Wilmer, TX offers an electrical internship that provides hands-on training alongside licensed electricians. You will gain experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting within our facilities management teams, with a structured learning path and adherence to NEC safety standards.

Candidates are currently enrolled in or recently completed an electrical technology or related program.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed education in electrical technology, electrical engineering, or related technical field.
• Basic understanding of electrical theory and electrical safety practices.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitude.
• Good mathematical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols.
• Physical capability to work in various environments and with ladders/ confined spaces.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Learn to use testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues.
• Assist with inspecting, testing, and maintaining electrical distribution systems and lighting.
• Help install and maintain building electrical systems including panels and transformers.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical docs.
• Document electrical work, materials used, and system changes in FM systems.
• Support energy efficiency initiatives via LED retrofits and lighting controls.
• Attend safety training and follow NEC standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical with building infrastructure.
• Participate in safety and electrical training programs to ensure compliance.
