Job summary

USC Auxiliary Services in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an Electrician (Resource Employee) to support operations at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum during events. The role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and coordinating tasks with full-time electricians to ensure safety and compliance.

The position requires a High School Diploma or enrollment in a 4-year apprenticeship, with at least 6 months of experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or completion/enrollment of 4-year apprenticeship program.
• Experience: 6 months
• General knowledge of trade-related methods, materials, tools, and equipment.
• General knowledge of electrical codes.
• Familiar with city and state building codes, OSHA rules and regulations, standard safety practices and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support full time electrical staff during events. Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment such as motors, switches, lighters, heaters, and alarm and control system.
• Test wiring system to ensure safety of all components.
• Plan, coordinate, and schedule new or modified electrical work.
• Estimate materials required for specific job components.
• Maintain clean job site throughout duration and clean up job site following work completion. Store and maintain supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain safe working conditions for self and others by adhering to general electrical safety practices.
• Prepare reports and/or maintenance records as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
