Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy seeks a skilled Electrician Renewables to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on solar and wind projects. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot issues, and connect components like inverters and transformers, ensuring NEC compliance and safety.

Strong teamwork and at-height work capability are essential. Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as an electrician, with 1–2 years in renewables preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent vocational training.
• Valid Journeyman Electrician license preferred; Master Electrician license a plus.
• Minimum of 3–5 years as a qualified electrician, with 1–2 years in renewable energy (solar PV or wind).
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting NEC standards and electrical diagrams.
• Experience with electrical testing equipment (multimeters, megohmmeters, clamp meters).
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license; OSHA 10 or 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, conduit, equipment, and fixtures within solar arrays, wind turbines, and related systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to determine layouts and placement.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve malfunctions.
• Connect power to inverters, transformers, substations, and monitoring equipment.
• Ensure installations comply with NEC and safety standards.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades for seamless execution.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and system performance.
